I just bought a Happy Planner!  I’m using one now and I really like it. I have the verical layout with three boxes so I use one box for to dos, one for places we need to go, and one for homeschooling overview.

Thank you so much for the ideas on how to use mine.  I don't have enough of a life to fill them so, just figured I'd decorate them, lol.

    Ooh which planner and stamps?

Happy Planner and some of their stamps, I'm not actually sure I'm going to buy it but getting it at 40% off sure makes it more attractive.  I already have a planner, a cheap one from Walmart and I'm loathe to buy another one without using it first, I suppose, I could use it for something else or give it to my baby and let him use it but, I don't know, I hate being so indecisive.

I need to go to hobby lobby and start lookimg for Christmas present parts.  We have two artists in the family and one likes copic markers.  I need to go in and buy one each visit and use the 40% off each time.

ETA:  although the set I got from Amazon last Christmas was cheaper than 40% off at hl.  Hmmm.

Wow, cheaper than 40%, that is good!  I don't know if Amazon will have the stamps I'm looking for but I bet they'll have the planner.

  4. Good Saturday morning!  I'm up, after being awake until about 5:30 :(, I will need to drop people off and pick them up, make something for dinner and do some laundry or something.  Shhh, don't tell anybody but, I got the hobby lobby app and will stop in there after I drop dd at work.  Oh, I forgot, we have two experiments that we'll do after my hobby lobby run.

Prayers would be appreciated.  My boss's house, which is on Lake Whitney, is thiiiiiiiis close to flooding, and we're getting more rain today.  Thanks!

Praying that there's no flooding.  Can we do anything?

  6. Good morning, it's Friday!  I'm so happy it's Friday, even though we will be doing science experiments tomorrow.  We have nothing going on today except staying dry and getting as far as possible in our lessons so that we have less to do tomorrow.

Susan, best wishes to your dd on her audition!

I just share news with dd16 and we discuss some of the things going on.  She and ds18 are very interested in what's going on in the world.  I will soon be dragging dd14 into our discussions, but right now she isn't interested and I'm fighting other battles with her that I would rather win.

Ds18, dd16, and I did an extensive study of what was going on in the 2016 election.  I gave them a couple of writing assignments and we turned it into a 1 credit Political Science class.

My Ds is only moderately interested and I have to drag him through talking about it but in all fairness I'm not that interested myself but, I'm working on becoming more knowledgeable.

    Done:

Devotions (I am ahead in my Bible reading for the year!)

    Breakfast and hydration

    Current Events

    Bible with dd10

Language with dd8 (she finished her 3rd grade language book today!)

    Physical science with dd14

Sign Language with dd14 and dd16 (because Youtube is fixed!)

    laundry (done by dd14)

recorder practice (dd8 played, the rest of us listened)

the girls did various other homeschool assignments that didn't involve me

Junie, do you guys do anything other than reading the current events?  We mostly just read them and some we discuss but not all, just wondering if that's enough, I guess.

  9. Slache, I think it sounds like a wonderful idea and I think it will work.

Good morning ladies, not much today, regular lessons with the boys, paying bills, doing a grocery order and some laundry.  I'm hoping to get some reading done as well, I'm pre- reading a series that I'm considering doing as a read aloud for my boys, even though, it's rather youngish for the bigger boy, he can still learn something.
