  1. What art books are must haves for my homeschooling. Please tell me about your favorites. Thanks
  2. So this what my daughters history schedule would like for grammer stage. 1st grade first half of SOTW1 1/2 year and US 1/2 year 2nd grade second half of SOTW1 1/2 year and US 1/2 year 3rd grade first half of SOTW2 1/2 year and US 1/2 year 4th grade second half of SOTW2 1/2 year and US 1/2 year. I think I like this.
  3. The more I think about this, the more I want to follow the 1/2 year of World and 1/2 year of US for at least the next 4 years. It will keep on the history cycle I wanted for 1st through fourth. Then I need to pick which one to do First and what I am using for US.
  4. I agree with picking one or the other, but I have a child who really wants to do both. But I havent made up my mind if I will do both. I am doing SOTW for sure. Actually if I did 1/2 year of each it would work because of the way I scheduled World history for her school years. 1st - SOTW1 2nd- SOTW 2 5th - SOTW1 6th- SOTW2 7th- SOTW3 8th- SOTW4
  5. I am not sure how I want to schedule history for first grade. I am considering doing both World history (SOTW) and US history. I am thinking 2 days of World and 2 days of US or 1/2 year of world and 1/2 US. Any thoughts on this? Or any other options for scheduling. Thanks
  6. I use both, I feel that they compliment each other.
  7. My 6 year old finished WWE 1 and has now started WWE 2. SWB method of writing works well for my daughter. I was hesitant at first, but WWE is all we need. I will be implementing SWB method of narrations and dictation into our first grade Science and history in fall. I already have my daughter doing some narrations and dictation from some of her chapter books she is reading.
  8. Thanks. Neither RR or Amazon has just the student books right now. Classical Academic Press does in case anyone else was interested.
  9. What exactly do I need and where can I purchase? Thanks

  14. What are some book of poems the your children have enjoyed? Thanks
  15. If I planned to do both in the same school year, this the schedule I was thinking.
  16. What year of SOTW are you in? My plan was always to do SOTW 1 in first and SOTW 2 in second. Third and fourth would be US History. Then do all 4 of SOTW over the course of the next four grades. Which would bring me to high school and I would use what was recommended after SOTW. But then I start second guessing myself that I am not giving my daughter enough US history in her schooling. We also will be doing seperate geoagraphy throughout those years, even though I know some will be incorporated in our history. Thanks

I did see that evan moor has a workbook, MCT offers something on poetry and Brave Writer. Any thoughts on any of these? Thanks
