  4. Hi I was wondering if you all would suggest I do any sort of spelling curriculum? We finished TYCTR in 100 EZ earlier this year and he finally just love to read. He reads 2nd grade Abeka readers and "I Can Read" series books. So should I also be doing Spelling? If so what? Or just flashcards? Or just be grateful he is finally enjoying reading.........?
  5. Hi we finally finished TYCTR 100 EZ lessons and after about 2 months it finally clicked and dear son loves reading. I am just letting him read some 2nd Grade Abeka readers and then those "I Can Read" series. He is in First Grade this year so should I be worried about teaching spelling or just stick with handwriting and letting him enjoy reading? What your thoughts. Do I need a program? Just flashcards... Thanks for the advice.
  6. I hope this joke isn't inappropriate, I went to my sisters comedy show the night before last and one of the comics said... "Do transvestites in Scotland wear pants?" Sorry.. That was just funny to me.
  7. I am lucky here in the Atlanta area there have been 2 homeschool used sales in the past 2 months and there is another one next month. I LOVE THOSE THINGS!
  8. Does everyone do all of the Math Homework/Worksheets? Both sides? After the calendar, the weather, the pattern, the date, right/left, counting several times a week and then the lesson. The worksheets feel like a lot. Just wondering, does everyone assign it all?
  9. This title of the post made this totally worth reading. I have learned so much!
  10. I should try and make some, they have to smell better than those deodorant pads. By the way if you guys want to read a really great post about the chemicals in pads at the Heavenly Homemaker site. Do check out this post and read the comments too. I learned A LOT!
