  1. Aside from core strength exercises, have you found anything that helps? There's so many different things on YT and I don't have childcare for a PT.
  2. It could just be that it was fun when it was novel and then she realized it was more fun to keep playing. Potty training is just hard. I've trained four kids and they've all been super different. Funny story, my 4yo had an accident the other day. My 2 yo was sitting next to her and decided to pee on the floor with her...
  3. I love the idea of just doing literature based science for elementary but it seems like most picture books talk about evolution. Is there something like the Let's Read and Find Out series or Gail Gibbons books that's YEC?
  4. Now I'm curious what the book is! But my church regularly gives away books they purchase for Bible studies/small groups for free. They ask for $10 per book if you want to pay for them no matter what the book is.
  5. Another thing I thought of is that I only offer one bite or piece of any new thing on a plate so it doesn't go to waste if they don't eat it. I've offered my kids veggies everyday and they still very rarely eat them so they get one baby carrot on their plate, not a handful.
  6. I find my air fryer to be more helpful in making things quickly than my instant pot since my IP seems to take so long to get up to pressure. Having a variety of condiments on hand has helped with switching to less processed foods and still enjoying them. Rotisserie chicken and bagged salads are my go to for busy nights. Or chicken sausage and air fried bagged veggies.
  7. Rainbow Magic Fairies Sophie Mouse Anna Hibiscus (pre-read the last two books as they handle death differently than we were comfortable with but 1-6 are great) Owl diaries and Unicorn diaries (very much twaddle-y but fun) Fairy Animals Nevergirls Unicorn Academy If you're Christian, Imagination Station and Secrets of the Hidden Scrolls
  8. Maybe too young for her but if you're Christian, Cooper Kids Adventures by Frank Peretti
  9. @prairiewindmommathank you for all your advice! I noticed something around his lip line that looked different than his other eczema before it all got so bad, I'll have to watch out for that.
  10. I wondered if this would be a common thing. Hopefully we can figure out his allergies and get the eczema under control...
  11. Thanks everyone! We were able to get in with his pediatricians office, different doc, and found out it's impetigo. Got a prescriptionG. lad I brought him in, hopefully derm and allergist will have some better long term solutions.
  12. No I didn't know babies could have benadryl. Interesting.... The urgent care doc last week suggested hydrocortisone but only for 3 days so it doesn't thin the skin too much
  13. I might be able to do a virtual appt tomorrow, they don't do same day in person.
  14. My DS (11 months) has always had a rash around his mouth. A month ago, He tested as allergic to 6 out of the 9 top foods but cutting them has not improved the rash. He got a cold last week, went to UC and they prescribed amoxicillin for ear infection but he got a rash from that so doc said to stop and didn't switch to anything. This is his face today, rash has moved up around his eyes and he's puffy. We have appointments in two weeks with regular pediatrician, allergist and derm but I'm wondering if I should bring him in to urgent care for this. His skin is just so sensitive to everything but I don't know that urgent care could do anything we aren't doing. Any ideas if you have a kiddo with skin-affected allergies is welcome!
