  1. Looks like a lot of fun! It's taking us a while to get used to a more structured day also. I was ready for a nap this afternoon, then DH came home and actually took a nap (when I was the one up all night). Not quite sure how it worked out that way!
  2. We have everything, but mainly just use the workbook. I'll use the little chalkboard because DS loves the "wet/dry/try" idea and always reminds me if I try to skip it. He loves to play with the wood pieces, he and DD1 (3) make up all kinds of little games with them and he loves teaching her how to make letters with them. We have the CD because we bought the K set, but don't use it.
  3. They show up for you since you're the blog owner, but they won't show up to your readers. I just checked it out. :)
  4. I just got the Kindergarten package for DS when it was on sale, and wish I hadn't. He and DD1 enjoy playing with the wood pieces (and I'm sure I'll use them some with DD1), but he hasn't really been needing them. We aren't using the CD at much at all, we listened to a couple of the tracks but I doubt we'll listen to it again. I have the TM since it came with the set, but so far it hasn't really been necessary.
  5. Mine sticks out like you are describing, so does my youngest child's. It is not noticeable on my other two children or my husband. I asked my midwife about it before (just convenient, because she was using it as a reference point when she was measuring my uterus) and she said that it varies from person to person.
  6. Luckily I got the last bit of our stuff ordered before we took a cold hard look at the budget (now that was a splash of cold water!) and got back on the DR bandwagon.
  7. DS is 5, so this is our first year homeschooling. I'm interested in finding other K blogs too!
  8. K for DS is MUS Primer, HWT K, Headsprout, science based on Building Foundations of Scientific Understanding, lots of reading and currently some distasteful glances at Art Adventures at Home (I'm not feeling the love for that one currently). DD1 (3 years old) wants to have something to do whenever I'm working with DS, so we have ETC Get Ready for the Code and HWT Pre-K workbooks to keep her from moving in on DS' workbooks, along with some Kumon cutting and tracing workbooks to help with her fine motor skills (and keep her from cutting the cats' whiskers and drawing on the walls).
  9. DD1 (3 years old) has Hooked on Phonics workbooks, that keep coming in the mail from grandparents. They aren't necessarily my favorites, but she seems to enjoy them. I also have the HWT Pre-K workbook that she will start using soon. I want to get some Kumon workbooks, and will definitely check out Costco. Whenever DS is working on something she wants a page to work on also.
