There are three volumes planned. The first volume is for grades 1-4; all you need is the core textbook, but we'll also have a workbook for each grade which will make the dictation/copywork/narration simple and straightforward. If you have a writing-phobic middle-grader, the first volume will also be helpful. I'm working on the second volume, which will develop logic-stage skills; I'm then going to move on to the third volume, which will cover a range of rhetoric-stage/college prep writing skills. However...that one will take me a while, so I can't promise I'll be able to keep up with your kids. :) SWB

But since you've asked...:) My brother Bob and my sister-in-law Heather have come into business with me. Can't tell you how happy I am.:D Especially since they're much more techie-oriented than me. I'm the humanities person, which is great, but not when you're trying to 1) run a company and 2) run a website. So I can now write the History of the Whole World and post on the boards and let them handle the really difficult stuff. SWB

And are they struggling, or enjoying? I'll start: 16 yos: Hunchback of Notre Dame. He's a strong reader and he likes it, but he's currently hung up on a "twenty page description of Paris." 14 yos: Dante's Inferno, the Robert Pinsky translation. He's NOT a strong reader, but he asked to read it because he saw references to it in a computer game. :rolleyes: He's doing pretty well with it in fairly small chunks--about 4 pages per day. I, meanwhile, am reading Shopaholic and Baby. :)

The ease of scrolling down the old boards was pleasant...but like you, I think there is more to be gained than lost with this format. We're working on a plan to archive content. Stay tuned.
