  1. 1. I learned how to use quinoa a little better now. I've always "tried" to use it but was not successful. I made chicken meatballs stuffed with mozarella. The recipe does not call for quinoa but I divided the meatball batch. In half I followed the recipe and in the other half with which to make meatballs I added just a bit of quinoa. My dh didn't even know and I feel it adds texture, flavor and is healthy! QUESTION - Since then I made a BIG batch of quinoa. I did so I would not have to make a lot of small batches. I made a larger batch to use in several recipes! HOWEVER ****** Can I freeze and pull out as needed? Will it get mushy? I don't know how long it would take for me to use up these 4 cups but "maybe" 2 months. 2. Beef tenderloin - what "paste" seasonings would you use on this roast? I only want the seasoning paste to enhance and not replace the beef taste. Thanks!
  2. I didn't read SWB reply until after I posted LOL. Yes, I remember Lisa W as well.
  3. Oh yes, type of heat, age of house, rural/city. Our house is beyond dusty. I will still have very few on tabletop because of the dusting issue but I think it's visually easy to see pictures on the wall. They are just there. On a wall.
  4. OK, did I miss your post showing a pic?
  5. That's good to know. Have you tried taking one of the magnets off of a wall? If so, how long was it up?
  6. That's cool! That would be suited better for a large room. ?? It's very similar in idea to what I show up top.
  7. Yes, I especially like the living room (various sizes and vertical/horizontal positions to break visual tension) and the yellow room. Cute idea!!
  8. Another Canada geese lover. YAY! No I don't know why. That's a large wedge or plump. LOL. Read above. If you find out, share!
  9. I'm not understanding. The mix tile back has magnets on it. ??? On to what does it attract? Where is the opposite magnet? Maybe I'm not getting something.
  10. We have tons of albums and much is personal preference for sure. I'm asking here though because I'm open to suggestions. I like several of the ones mentioned. I've heard real estate agents suggesting no family pics/personal items when house is on the market b/c the potential buyer wants to envision their family pics/personal things in the house. I've not heard about not keeping family pics out year round from a decorator standpoint. What is the reasoning. I will have family pics out but I agree with you about tabletop dust. That could be why I'm debating this in my head. Although some homes are just less dusty. Mine is very dusty.
  11. I just thought it was cute. Like, look at that little gaggle. LOL!!!
  12. Wow, interesting! Hmm, another option. I like the look. You got me thinking - to touch or not to touch. What are the visual pros and cons to both? Thanks!
  13. Eos, Spryte and WIntermom especially, read this! The collective noun for a group of geese on the ground is a gaggle; when in flight, they arecalled a skein, a team, or a wedge; when flying close together, they are called a plump.
  14. I know they are messy but oh well. 🙂
  15. Have you moved your mix tiles? If so, did it damage walls at all? The tile itself? I've never used them.
  16. Yeah, year round here too! 🙂 Love it!
  17. Hmm. Different sources, different info. But, we live in NC, almost SC and Canada geese are common! Canada Goose Range Map, All About Birds, Cornell Lab of Ornithology Canada geese are known for their seasonal migrations. Most Canada geese have staging or resting areas where they join up with others. Their autumn migration can be seen from September to the beginning of November.[citation needed][42] The early migrants have a tendency to spend less time at rest stops and go through the migration much faster. The later birds usually spend more time at rest stops. Some geese return to the same nesting ground year after year and lay eggs with their mate, raising them in the same way each year. This is recorded from the many tagged geese which frequent the East Coast. Canada geese fly in a distinctive V-shaped flight formation, with an altitude of 1 km (3,000 feet) for migration flight. The maximum flight ceiling of Canada geese is unknown, but they have been reported at 9 km (29,000 feet).[43]
  18. Maybe. ? They are "snowbirds" LOL. They fly south for the winter and return north to Canada in spring/early summer.
  19. Yes, I've seen that but there is just something about the "v". And, I love their loud greetings! LOL! Like Canada! Met a man at the dog park yesterday, from Canada. Such a lovely country to our north.
  20. Right. I used to have framed pictures on walls and tabletops. Those are all boxed up for now as dh painted walls, etc. When we move, I'll bring those pics out but I'm thinking, as you mentioned above, maybe (not sure yet) display framed pics on walls only and not tables. Still sorting through this.
  21. Sure, we need our sleep. If it's nightly or near that I can see where that would be a hinderance. Funny, we have owls in our tree or neighbor's tree. I can't stand the sound of them. It's ok but I really don't care for them. Don't know why. I think it "may" be because they sound like they are always fighting which I know isn't the case but still the sound. Yes, I enjoy pelicans too but the Canada geese are just special.
  22. I'm sorry! I think it's a beautiful sight and sound. Our church is 2 miles away and in a development where there is a pond and tons of Canada geese. There are droppings everywhere. We just step around. 🙂 Our greenway is about 3 miles away and runs next to a wooden, undisturbed area with a natural body of water. Needless to say, on walks we see/hear these beautiful creatures. The other day dh and I were walking our dog and the birds were socializing. DH kept walking Shiloh and I stopped to marvel at the sounds. Love it!
  23. Yes, I like the canvas photo look! That sounds amazing. You could organize a few to make a scene on a wall. I love that idea!
  24. Ha! None of my frames match. I don't think even one. I like kinda the ecclectic, artsy look. Perhaps that prompted me to start taking painting and drawing classes, idk. We are not minimalist. I like a house to be cozy, comfortable, peaceful, inviting, etc. IOW, it needs to look lived in. I don't have tattoos but I share the same preference with a lived in home.
