I love this thread! I have no stories to post as my boys are still a little too 'immature', but it is nice to see the light at the end of the tunnel! My oldest is just starting to turn toward a more mature thought process. All of a sudden it seems he is no longer 'flying by the seat of his pants' and he is starting to think more about what he wants his future to look like.

It is finally official. DuPont is moving us to Kansas City. Sooo, I must turn to the Hive for help, again. You all were a huge help when we were relocated to Dallas. Anyhow, which side is better Missouri or Kansas? As far as homeschooling laws, taxes, neighborhoods and so on...is one state more beneficial than the other? What about where NOT to live? Any places to avoid? For what it is worth, he will be taking over the account at the Fairfax General Motors Plant. We don't want his drive to be too lengthy. I would love to be in a place that was somewhat of an "old town" feel with walking distance to parks, library, etc., but I also want the convenience of Costco, Aldi, Target... Any advice or knowledge of KC would be a great help! Thanks in advance!! ALMOST FORGOT!!! We are definitely wanting to join another Classical Conversations Community!! Any info on those would be truly appreciated too. ;)

Yes, that is me. I am sure there were days in my youth my mom would have LOVED for me to just.stop.talking. But, I have to say, I never felt any negativity when she would 'escape' into a book or the other room. :lol: We are as close as a mother and daughter can be as adults. ;)
