smileyme
Hello everyone. My daughter seems to have a good command on reading and writing, but based on NWEA needs improvement in "Informational Text". :mellow:I have started some workbooks with that tag, but need some ideas. She is 10 year old and doing the 7'th/8'th grade curriculum. Since few months she has started some workbooks, for ELA. she does below for writing/reading:Glenco Reading and Language Arts Boris Fishman, Creative WritingWord Roots level 3. Arcadia
I am not familiar with NWEA. Page 90 to 100 of link on Common Core however might give you some ideas on what is being tested on informational text http://www.corestandards.org/assets/Appendix_B.pdf
Shoes+Ships+SealingWax
She would be asked to determine the main idea of a text, draw information from graphs / charts / illustrations, summarise, compare / contrast related texts, & use context to determine the meaning of new vocabulary.
