snickelfritz
:) It was my dad's nickname for me when I was little. I have no idea what it means or where it came from. Do you know?

Friederike in Persia
Don't really know where it comes from, but it sounds cute to German ears (wondered each time I read something posted by you!). "Fritz" used to be a common name one to two generations back, coloqually it's still used in combination with other words, to mean somebody who's really into something does something a lot. "Sniggle" might be Friesan (north-German dialect, close to Dutch) and there I could only guess, I'm southern German.
jail warden
it's a nickname/slang that is used in Amish circles. I've heard it a lot, but was never sure what it meant!
