Not sure how long it's running. Just enabling. :D
PeterPan
What, nobody is biting here? :D Today is the last day! Ok, some things people on the boards here have mentioned in the past. one_l_michele --Pirate Talk Receptive & Expressive Language game--has cards hitting lots of categories *and* a game board that could be used for lots of OTHER games as well! Also Fun Decks: What are They Asking, Let's Predict Fun, What's Being Said Fun, Move Your Body & Body Awareness, Fine Motor Fun, Yogarilla Jenn--Magnetalk. I've been looking at this for ages since she mentioned it and never wanted to plunk out the money. But with the sale... No Glamour Grammar, Auditory Processing... I can't remember which ones she used, but SD has them. They also have games, just regular games people play, like Bubble Talk, which is actually cheaper on amazon even with the SD sale. But still, you might get ideas.

PeterPan
OhE, Would you believe ds still uses Yogarilla? It was when we were using Pirate Talk that he really started communicating. I had a really tough time parting with that game and ended up sharing it with a local speech therapist for her to help many more kids with. Wow, that's awesome! And yes, I was horrified at first with the cost of the Pirate game. Then as I looked at it (and watched that horrible demo video, oy) I realized it could be used so many ways. And the cards in the samples surprised me. At first I thought oh, they'll be light, but there's a LOT of challenge in there! And what I like is that they step up better than going to big kid games. I had gotten him Dixit, thinking oh this will work, but it hasn't seemed right. With the Pirate Talk I can see *why* it wasn't right, that there are a lot of foundational, easier steps he hasn't gone through yet. Good stuff. So did you ever buy other things from there? I noticed in your list that you used a bunch for a year, but then the Super Duper stuff just dropped off. Does that mean you bought other things and didn't like them? Or the need faded? Any other favorite things from there you're recommending people buy? :)
PeterPan
I'd be interested in recommendations for speech and social skills stuff... More specifically? They have a Topics tab, and I'm trying to go through it in between working with ds on his Knex thing we're building. (ferris wheel? It's big, lol.) There was a Preschool Social Language, and I feel dopey for thinking my almost 7 yo would benefit from it. I don't know if it's explicit and fabulous or simplistic. It really does seem to be attempting to make things explicit, which would be good.
