Amira
I'm not sure where he heard that or if I believe it (because this isn't Australia), but I'm still glad we haven't had too many spiders in our house. But this one came in with the sheets yesterday. It's a harmless green lynx spider and I managed to find a US quarter for comparison. I think it's rather beautiful. Disclaimer: I took this photo myself and it doesn't contain any celebrities that I know of.
ILiveInFlipFlops
:svengo: I love IDing spiders and bugs, and that one is really beautiful. But I don't think I want any connection between them and the place where I sleep :willy_nilly:
umsami
I remember back when I was in massage school in Florida, our prof mentioned that Florida was home to basically anything poisonous that existed in the contiguous 48 states….all the snakes, all the spiders, plants, you name it. Not sure if it's true, but there are plenty of nasty things here like cottonmouth moccasins (mean), pygmy rattle snakes, brown recluse spiders, etc.
Jean in Newcastle
Isn't George Washington a celebrity?! He's on the quarter! Eeek. on that spider.
MelAR05
Since I am nursing a spider bite, including antibiotics, I don't like them very much right now. Grrrr!
