nwmama
What do you do with the SOTW AG student pages if you don't leave them in the book? I get student pages for each of my kids but I'm trying to figure out how to store them. They have hole punches but i know if I store them in a 3 ring binder they'll just rip over the course of the year. I'm thinking about a little file folder for each of them but I'm wondering if anyone has a better idea.
Guest
Spiral bind them is what I did. Office Depot or Staples can do it for you.
MASHomeschooler
We are putting ours in these: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000AN1MTA/ref=wms_ohs_product?ie=UTF8&psc=1 (we are just a few weeks in, but we have used these for other things, and the pages do stay intact as opposed to tearing apart, as you mentioned, in binders). They're also more compact.
mamamindy
Spiral bind them is what I did. Office Depot or Staples can do it for you. This is what we do. I added generic notebooking pages for the occasional drawing/narration for additional reading. I love having it all in one place!! Previously, I only printed up that weeks pages and used the binder mostly for storage, so the paper tearing out wasn't an issue. Just another idea. :)
RootAnn
Strangely, we've had them in 3-ring binders every year for ... oh, going on seven years. It is rare that they rip out. The kids move them to the back so the next-to-be-colored page is in the beginning for the next session.
Reefgazer
We just store them in a pocket folder in chronological order. I hate binders and love pocket and file folders because they are cheaper and very versatile for almost anything.
lots of little ducklings
Ours get copied before our year begins and go in a forty-week file system for the children to pull from each week as needed (the completed sheets then go in their history binder). The master originals are saved in a file box designated just for all my masters.
HelenNotOfTroy
Ours are filed in our filing system for the year, last year we only removed what we used as we used it.
HS Mom in NC
I do the hanging file folder system so they're all tucked away ready to go when we get to that week's work. As soon as we finish them (or a narration or hands on project) we put them in this year's 3 ring history binder. When people ask, "What have you been learning in school?" we can hand them the history binder with everything we've done related to SOTW.
