Question about levels for Michael Clay Thompson's LA materials

My 6 yo is highly gifted in the language arts arena. I have been struggling to find something that provides the depth that he craves yet doesn't require an excessive amount of pencil work. The MCT LA materials just crossed my radar and I know they would be perfect for him.

My question is, what do the grade levels mean on the Royal Fireworks website? If they say Grammar Island is for grades 3/4 does that mean regular 3/4 or gifted 3/4?

Thanks!

Gifted 3/4. The early elementary series is OK for younger kids. I'm using it with my 6yo, but I'm in no hurry to mover her into the middle school series.

We have Grammar Island and like it, however, the teacher's edition is a huge waste of money. It's almost an exact duplicate of the student book.
Most homeschoolers buy only the TM's for the elementary series.
