Bensmom
All the shopping is done except a gift for my niece. I asked her mom what she wanted and she said clothes or jewelry. I would like to spend around $40-50. I really hate to buy her more clothes or jewelry. It looks like a department store threw up in her room, she already has so much. This is her senior year in hs and she is planning on going to college in the fall. I would like to find something that would be nice and somewhat useful for her starting out on her own. (She will live in the dorm.) Any ideas????
lynn
A nice weekender type bag like a Vera Bradley or a nice smaller purse for just cellphone and id with a gift card enclosed to starbucks?
Mrs Mungo
The best gift I received before starting college was a really nice (sturdy, I was an English major) backpack.
Kareni
My daughter took her wood lap desk to college and has found it very useful. Here's one example and another and yet another. Levenger's has one but it's outside your budget; they do have quality items though. Regards, Kareni

MomtoCandJ
Maybe some storage items? I got suitcases the Christmas before I went or a trunk with like measuring cups, microwave safe bowls and what not.
