Love2Smile
Jet, Ive read somewhere else where someone said the curriculum was dry and boring. Basically all black and white. Could you tell me your thoughts please?
Carol in Cal.
Do they provide materials for that?
Linda in NE
I can't imagine what program that person was talking about, but it sure wasn't K12. I've used K12 for seven years. That should lend some credibility to my comments. We're not in high school yet, so I can't answer from personal experience about that level. In any science classes we have taken so far, lab supplies have been available. The labs were generally very good. To find out more about K12's new high school offering through the International Academy, go to http://www.k12.com/int
newbie
Jet, Ive read somewhere else where someone said the curriculum was dry and boring. Basically all black and white. Could you tell me your thoughts please? Hi, I cant speak from charter experience. We do independent. Which I think is different. Basically you make it what you want to be. They provide the materials. We just got life science , it came with a microscope and all the extras. My dh was so excited. For independent you take at own pace. Last yr. was very slow, we had alot going on. But this yr. I am speeding up youngest dd. to seventh grade in six months , just to catch up. Totally doable. Sometimes we are doing two / three lessons a day if they are fun. Independence gives you a lot of flexibility. Now, International High School. That is a whole new world. I have not spoke to one person who has done it. Very leary about doing it in fall, because it is super expensive. I do hope the curriculum is not the same as K12, because for last two yrs. they contracted out with Apex, which has true college base curriculum. So worried, that Int. will have her slowing down. I dont feel like pushing an eleventh grader. Hope helps, Jet
