Julie in MO
I have the Chemistry teachings that someone recommended to go with Apologia Chemistry....is there one for biology that compliments well (and might be on sale right now?) Mommyfaithe
Julie...Which ones go with the Chemistry?? I would love to watch them with my son. Thanks! Faithe (Who finally figured out how to balance chemical equations!)
MIch elle
I have the Chemistry teachings that someone recommended to go with Apologia Chemistry....is there one for biology that compliments well (and might be on sale right now?)Blessings, Julie TTC Biology is a college level course. Look carefully at the course description and lecture titles. I took it out from the library and thought it was too much for a first level high school biology - too much detail. Julie in MO
I read on this board that the chemistry set taught by Frank Cardulla coordinated nicely with Apologia's chemistry. Of course, finding that thread again is another story....:001_smile: Blessings, Julie
MIch elle
I'm planning on having ds watch part of it over the summer before he takes chemisty and then as needed during the school year (he attends high school).

ChemMommy
It was NOT a winner at our house. It is heavily evolutionary at the beginning, too, but that led to some great discussions.
JennW in SoCal
Well, we loved the TTC biology course and did not find it too advanced or detailed. It paired nicely with Campbell's textbook. However, I would imagine that anyone who uses Apologia, which I assume is from a creationist point of view, would not want to use the TTC course. homeschoolally
TTC Biology is a college level course. Look carefully at the course description and lecture titles. I took it out from the library and thought it was too much for a first level high school biology - too much detail. We borrowed it from the library and felt the same way. I think you would need a pretty good biology background (and a great attention span!) to follow it.
