Grace is Sufficient
I can tell you about one I found recently, and may sign one or both of my high schoolers up for next year. It's offered by Florida Virtual School, which I heard good things about on these boards. Here's the link: http://www.flvs.net/students_parents/VSACourseDetail.php?CourseID=46 HTH
Michelle in GA
but I have heard many say that it can be used for 9th grade easily.
Chris in VA
We used Astronomy Today. We used it for one semester, and did Runkle Geography for the other semester (physical geography). Astronomy Today was well-written, clear in its explanations, and allowed for both a math-based approach and a less-math (for lack of a better word!) approach. I wish we had supplemented it with trips to a dark park or planetarium or something--but it all worked out.
yinne
My 8th grade dd used this course this year and it could definitely be used as a high school course. However I'm very glad that I used the DVDs from BJ to teach it. My dd has learned alot from this course, but I don't think it would have been as effective if I had tried to use it without the DVDs.
