LunaLee
Can anyone recommend a good beginning watercolor book. I tried and Amazon search, but was overwhelmed by all the choices. Thanks.

Wee Pip
Hate to hijack thread...but how many lessons would that book be broken down into? I was lurking and thought the book might make a nice homeschool co-op class:)
LunaLee
Okay, thanks everyone, I just ordered at Amazon. It looks to be exactly what I was looking for. Pip, when I get it, I'll try to post how many lessons it could be broken into. From looking at it on Amazon, I'd say maybe 2 weeks per lesson/concept. 1 week to introduce the concept and practice in class and 1 week for at home practice and assignments. That's how I'd do it anyway.
Catwoman
I'm not familiar with the book, but I'm sure it's fine. I would, however, recommend buying better quality paints to use with it, some good paper, and perhaps a few nice brushes. Watercolor painting can be a lot of fun, but without decent quality supplies, it can be incredibly frustrating. If you need any recommendations, just let me know! LunaLee
Thanks Cat. My Dick Blick orders are usually really big... I have: Canson watercolor pads, Derwent watercolor pencils, Reeves watercolors (in the tube), the Dick Blick brand liquid watercolors, Dick Blick liquid metallic watercolors and some Aquarelle (sp?) crayons, and some Royal brushes-all sizes. What do you think? Would you recommend differently? If so, I'd appreciate your thoughts. Thanks.
