mamaof2andtwins
I am trying to decide on which would be better for my kids to take in high school: French or Spanish. I took French for 3 years, but I am thinking that they might need to know Spanish more than French. I quizzed the oldest two, and they seem to want to take French as does one of the twins. I am just not sure if that is the best option. So, I am wonder what the Hive thinks... Thanks... Jennie
K-FL
It's totally up to you. Here in So. Florida, either would be a good options since we have MANY Spanish speaking along with MANY Haitians who speak at least some form of French. Since our cc only has a Spanish instructor, my dc are doing Spanish--plus there are lots of folks to practice with. :)
Chris in VA
Depends on a lot of factors-- I pick French, because I find it more useful for travel, I like the sound of it better, and I want to open missionary opportunities for dd in Europe, Africa and Asia, where French is likely a useful language. jellogirl
Go with what your kids want. It will be more interesting and they'll be more motivated to work harder.
