Alicia64
I'm over forty -- okay I'm almost over 44 (in July) -- and for the last few years (since my kids were born) it hurts to have sex. Every time I try to talk to the OB she gets set on the idea of more lubrication which drives dh nuts because he says, "we're lubricated -- it's plenty wet!" Either thanks to my own body or actual lubricants. It still hurts. I have noticed that the more often I have sex, the less painful it seems to be. But man can it hurt. It feels sandpapery which leads to thinking it must be a lubrication thing, but I agree with dh, sometimes when I'm really in the mood and there seems to be plenty of wet, it still hurts. Any thoughts? Alicia

Tree House Academy
Are you taking any kind of medication (that may cause dryness in that area)? I know you said it is plenty lubricated, but maybe not the kind of lubrication that "sticks" if that makes sense. Maybe it is thinner than normal due to some kind of med? Have you had routine paps? Hoping those were all normal. I am surprised your dr is not concerned at all. How irritating!
