ABQmom
I saw this title in Luanne's list and wondered what ages would enjoy this as a read aloud.
cajun.classical
I saw this title in Luanne's list and wondered what ages would enjoy this as a read aloud. This is a fantastic book. I read it out loud when mine were 8 and 6. They were so riveted that we read the sequel as well.

Jenny in Florida
My kids read it (and very much enjoyed it) on their own when they were 9 (daughter) and 8 (son). I read the first couple of books in the series and thought they were quite good. --Jenny
ABQmom
I think we'll give it a try since we are getting ready to hit Shakespeare in history.
Guest Lorna
We also loved 'William Shakespeare and the Globe' It is a beautifully illustrated biography of Shakespeare, the building of The Globe Theatre and its rediscovery and rebuilding in modern times. It is so wonderfully done. It gives a beautiful snapshot of Elizabethan England. I read it in one sitting with ds and yet he remembers so much from it. He now knows all about London Bridge and a great deal about how a city worked during Shakespeare's time. The account of the rebuilding of the Globe in the nineties made it seem all the more relevant and inspiring, as a dream fulfilled.
Mrs. Readsalot
My ds read all of these, and I read them too. They are wonderful.
