phathui5
I use their Math and Bible. What is the homeschool handbook?
Tree House Academy
We use their LA and Bible. I also am not sure what the handbook is.
LNC
I use LA, Math and Reading. I plan on continuing long term. I saw the Table of Contents of the Homeschool Handbook in the files section of the Yahoo group. I may go ahead and buy it, but $25.00 is expensive without seeing it first. http://www.clp.org/product/the_homeschool_handbook_1713
Tree House Academy
How long have you been homeschooling? I read a lot of things like than when I first got started. Now, I don't really want anyone telling me how I should run things. LOL I realize they are just suggestions, but probably nothing that years of experience hasn't taught you/won't teach you. TracyR
You can go onto the Christian Light Families group on Yahoo and ask. There are many families that have used the Handbook. I'm thinking of purchasing it myself. I believe it explains how to use CLE successfully in your home. How to score work , how to organize your schooling etc.
OregonNative
There are also samples on the CLP site. For me I think it would be worth the $25 as I am new and like having different suggestions/ideas to try out.
mom2jjka
I have it. It has a lot of great information in it on organization, how to use the CLE placement tests, motivation and encouragement, discipline, etc. It also has a whole unit devoted to using their distance learning program - CLE Plus. If you are new to homeschooling and will be using CLE, I think it would be a great tool for you, but if you are a veteran homeschooler, or if you use other methods - I would probably say 'pass.'
