Storm Bay
How much of this should you use per load? It doesn't make suds. This is the recipe with Naphtha soap, Borax & washing soda.
Surfside Academy
I only use about 1/8 of a cup. It doesn't take much.
Surfside Academy
I should also have added that I have a front loading machine.

Heather in OK
A good friend of mine has a business making laundry detergent and her recommendation for those machines is 1/2-1T per load.
Storm Bay
Thanks. I could be using less. I have a front loading machine, and should have mentioned that. Since it doesn't make suds, I wasn't sure, but things have been getting very clean. http://www.livingonadime.com/recipes/homemade-laundry-detergent.html

Katiebug_1976
I have making and using this soap for over a year and have never used more than 1 TBSP per load. I can't fine the Fels Naptha soap locally, so I order it online at www.soapsgonebuy.com
Storm Bay
I can find all of the ingredients at local grocery stores (aka supermarkets). I find them all in the laundry section. The washing soda was with the detergent boosters in a store where one of the clerks told me they don't carry it. The Fels Naphtha is found in 2 or 3 of the supermarket chains in the area. In one of them, it's with the laundry and in another it's with the bar soaps you use in the bathroom.
