Quiver0f10
My Dr upped my meds 3 weeks ago and I am wondering if it is too soon to retest to see if I am where I should be.
snickelfritz
My doctor changed my dose 2 weeks ago and I go back exactly 1 month after the last visit/med change. When I looked online, they suggest 6 weeks.

Hillary in KS
Wait a *minimum* of 6 weeks. I've had more accurate results, however, waiting 11 weeks. But you can usually tell at about 6 weeks (sometimes sooner) which direction you're heading. :)
snickelfritz
I wonder if she wants to check it early, to catch it in case it's going too low???? But, either way, I would say you should wait longer.
Quiver0f10
She called in the order for the blood work, but left the time up to me. I want to make sure that it's accurate. I am going to wait the 6 weeks.
dtsmamtj
My husband and daughter are on thyroid meds and I would wait a minimum of 1 month. T
Hillary in KS
Quiver, I think if you're thinking the dosage isn't high enough (or much too high), then re-test at 6 weeks. There's no need to wait 11 weeks if you can tell that the dosage isn't right. But if you think the dosage is fine, I'd wait 11 weeks. You'll get a more accurate result that way.
