Reya
With spring coming around and outside getting more appealing, I decided to change how we schedule school. We now have reading/math every school day, but we only schedule enough "other things" for four days. Overflow goes to Friday, or, if there's none, then Friday is a half day. It's sort of a balance between a 4 day week and a 5 day week!
ElizabethB
We have 4.5 as well! We do 4 subjects a day. Fridays, we always do Bible and math, the other two subjects are Spanish and Art. Art is always optional, and we do Spanish 2 other days a week, so when we want to go outside sooner, we skip Spanish on Fridays. (My daughter is to the point where a few times a week of reading/spelling is fine, otherwise, reading would be in there on Friday as well.) Ours is lit more than reading, and since DS chooses the books at this point (with some restrictions!), it's hardly torture!
