amyinva
Does anyone have any ideas? My DD will be taking VA state history with K12 next year, and I wanted to get some enjoyable books for her to read to make it come alive. Thank you, Amy
lionfamily1999
Check with the Virginia tourism board. They'd have tons of stuff. Also, go to the George Washington's Birthplace web site, Jamestown site, Mount Vernon, Ferry Farm, Westmoreland County. There's tons of places to look and most of them sell books made especially for that place. Have fun!
Chris in VA
See if you can get a copy of Cinnabar, The One O'clock Fox, by Marguerite Henry. It's a sweet story of a fox who lives on George Washington's property. There are some pretty good Pocahontas books out there, too, and I think there's a My America or Dear America book set in Jamestown (I'll look and see if I can come up with a title for you).
