Frontier Mom
What kind of store? What department in the store? (What aisle number & shelf while we're at it:D) thanks! Oh, my!! I just got one yesterday for $2 at Walmart in the check out line!! I am forever trying to show the dc's something on our Latin charts high on the wall so I bought one. It even came with extra batteries. It goes on a keychain supposedly and has a light and a laser on it. We also have one that I got at Walmart in the pet section. We use it as a toy for our cat but you could get one there as well. I have also seen more "expensive" ones at Staples and Office Depot. Hope this helps. Deidre in GA
i ordered one a week or so ago from Dealextreme.com. they must ship via a slow boat from china but the price was right. warning - this site is dangerous. cute little gadgets are so inexpensive you surf for a very long time! Jean in Wisc
If it is for astronomy, you need to get a green laser pointer. I bought mine (the GPA 5) at betapointer.com. They are now available, though, for a song-and-a-dance on ebay--just look for one with the same specs. Jean
jacqui in mo
I did get a red one at Target today. I wasn't specifically getting it for astronomy (light science) but I had thought in the back of my mind that it would work for that too. Why does it need to be green? jacqui in mo
Thanks for that article. Very interesting! I would have to look for one on Ebay, cause I'm not willing to pay $50 or more for one. eeK!
SonshineLearner
My dad's a professor. He liked it so much...that someone else purchased one for him....at least that's the way I remember the story. He loves it! Carrie:-)
