5-minute chocolate cake!

Recommended Posts

Someone just forwarded to me the following recipe, complete with four photos of the cake in-progress. (Sorry - the pics didn't copy here). Has anyone tried this? Is it for real? Is it GOOD?!

I haven't done that one, but years ago I did know how to make nearly instant brownies in the microwave. I really don't remember exactly how I did it, but I know I made it pretty often while I was pregnant with dd. ;) I don't think mine had an egg, but I wouldn't swear to that.

Anyway, I'm betting this works. Three minutes in the microwave sounds like an awfully long time to me... I think mine "baked" in much less time. But I haven't had a microwave in over 6 years, so it's been quite a while since I did this.

I made this last year when it was posted here. It's only an okay cake. It came out really gummy. If I was totally desperate for chocolate it would work but since I always have chocolate chips on hand and they taste far better, it's highly unlikely I will ever be that desperate that I need to make it again.
