cherryblossom
Is there a tried and true tip for draining grease from stew w/o letting it cool first and scraping it off after it has hardened? Please help as I'm a culinary-challenged gal.
lovemytea
Don't know if this will work but you might could use a dishtowel placed inside a colander and then pour the stew through. It'll be a pain because you'll have all the veggies and meat to contend with but it's a little better than having to wait. Good luck! KatieJ
My Mom used to drop ice cubes into it. The grease will cling to the ice.
melissel
place a sheet of paper towel on the top, pull carefully off from the corner of the towel, repeat with a new paper towel This is what I've done.
