tmkclscroggins
We don't use aluminum cookware since I've read so much about the aluminum leaching out and that it could be a cause of alzheimer's disease. Finding stainless steel cookie sheets, cake pans, etc is very hard. If you have to use aluminum cookie sheets, if you place parchment paper over it, is it safe to use? Where on earth can I find stainless steel ones? Our current cookie sheets are black and pretty disgusting! Thanks, Melissa
Tap
Stainless steel cookie sheets would be very heavy but you may be able to find them at a commercial restaurant supply. I have ordered through servu-online.com before and got good service. I use aluminum, but don't cook anything caustic on them. I don't cook tomato based items on the pans, or any vinegar based for that matter. I use either a silpat or parchment paper to bake on, to make clean up easier. kewb
I mostly use my stoneware for baking. It took awhile to convert over all my pans but in the end it was worth it.
