All Through The Ages

Have any of you used this resource? I have been going through my "favorites" and stumbled on it, again. It lists books chronologically and geographically, and by age appropriateness.

 

Has it helped you find more books that aren't listed in WTM, but are worth reading?

I use my copy of "All Though the Ages" all the tim If someone asked me to make a list of the ten books they would need to homeschool this would be in the top three (after TWTM of course:D)

It is also one of the few things I will keep when we have finished homeschooling. I have marked the book with when we read each book, and used a rating system for how well we liked the book.

Be aware it's Young Earth Christian in philosophy.

 

I think it's good for younger ages. I didn't find it all that useful for high school, because I wanted to do Great Books, so I didn't need it.

I like to get most of our books at the library. Most of these books aren't at our library.

Do you find that other books are usally in the library, like for SOTW, if the ones from All Through the Ages aren't?

I find a lot of the SOTW rec's in the library, but what also is useful is simply going to the nonfiction section where I'd find one of the SOTW rec's, and looking around. Sometimes I find something just as good there.
