MomOfOneFunOne
BS is conferred, right? And an MS is _________, what? I used to know this but I think it was replaced by My Very Eager Mother Just Served Us Nine Pizzas. I'm not sure. Any help out there? Michelle in MO
Are you talking about mnemnonic (sp?) devices for remembering the names of the planets in order? When you're speaking of BS and MS, for some reason I'm thinking of college degrees, but maybe that's not what you're looking for. Can you help us out a little? MomOfOneFunOne
Ack! Sorry! I typed that before I finished my first cup of tea! Yea, I'm trying to remember how it's phrased: A bachelor's degree is conferred. A master's degree is ______. I cant remember the term. I was only suggesting that I couldn't remember b/c that valuable brain space had been taken up with other, far more valuable information such as the order of the planets in our solar system. Sorry. do you know?

Mom2boys
Isn't it "awarded"? That is what is coming to mind. Not entirely sure though.
Guest Alte Veste Academy
How funny. My first answer was conferred also but looking at mine on the wall, the BS was conferred. TCU has conferred upon... The MS says UT Certifies that... has completed the required course of study and is therefore awarded the degree of Master of Science in Social Work. So, I would say the answer sounds like awarded.
Once
My hubbie is a prof. and he said that a Masters is confered as well (same as with a PhD). It may be a specific term for some universities that changes depending on where you graduate.
