ArtHaus
I am considering a change in science next year. Which is more rigorous for 5-6th graders, BJU or Apologia, or neither? What other science programs are considered “rigorous”? Both of my boys love science, but I am looking for something with a little bite to it, a challenge. Any suggestions? Green Bean
BJU hands down. I highly recommend the videos. They add so much.
desertflower
My son loves biochemistryliteracyforkids.com. He took the homeschool biochemistry program and live classes. The live classes has evolved into Organic Chemistry classes. He's been in it for about a year and a half. One of my daughter's friends is taking the homeschool program too and enjoys it. Just something different I guess. For me, science usually got outsourced because I never seem to have the time and their comprehension is all over the place. Athena's Advanced Academy, outschool, local co-op, etc.
