I am considering a change in science next year. Which is more rigorous for 5-6th graders, BJU or Apologia, or neither? What other science programs are considered “rigorous”? Both of my boys love science, but I am looking for something with a little bite to it, a challenge. Any suggestions?

My son loves biochemistryliteracyforkids.com.  He took the homeschool biochemistry program and live classes.  The live classes has evolved into Organic Chemistry classes.  He's been in it for about a year and a half.

One of my daughter's friends is taking the homeschool program too and enjoys it.

Just something different I guess.

For me, science usually got outsourced because I never seem to have the time and their comprehension is all over the place.  Athena's Advanced Academy, outschool, local co-op, etc.
