ktgrok
If so, could you do me a HUGE favor? Could you take photos of JUST the little rhyme/picture that explains how to form each of the numbers 1-10, in light unit 101? Or even just 5-10, as the first five are on the website sample? I hate to purchase the thing JUST for those rhymes, as we are using something else for math right now, but I know the rhymes would help my K student. She struggles sometimes, and I've found that making it more creative helps - for instance I got out the train tracks to make the number 8 for her, after tears and fits and her saying she'd never make another 8 ever again. We used various "land marks" to mark out where the train turns, and since the track kept her from making the wrong turn, it worked. Now she can visualize the landmarks and has no trouble. She also uses her own neumonics a lot, so I think those rhymes and the picture would help solidify things in her mind. If not, I'll go ahead and order it I guess. wisdomandtreasures
Sorry, my phone camera is awful and pictures are blurry, but here are the rhymes: 5: Down the trunk and around the tree. Add a branch. It's five you see! 6: Curving down into a loop, number six can roll a hoop. 7: Across the sky and down from heaven. This is how to make a seven. 8: Make an S, but do not wait. Circle back to make an eight. 9: A loop on top and then a line. This is how to make a nine. 10: Make a one and then a zero. It's easy to make a ten, you know.

That number 5 one in particular I really wanted.
