Whether or not it's easy to clean depends upon your relationship with cast iron. My mom has one of those electric George Foreman grills that she uses almost everyday and it's really easy to clean. The grills that close sure do keep your kitchen neater. My husband is the king of grease splatter and my kitchen is a disaster right now with all the stuff he's been cooking lately. I'm seriously considering getting him an outdoor griddle/wok just to save my kitchen. I tried to get a knife from the block near the stove yesterday and the handle was coated in grease.
