If you have used this, did your student complete all the material included?  I’m seeing Learning Checks and Exercises in the Textbook and quizzes and tests and review guides in the digital files. What was most valuable?

We did physical science this year and are doing earth science next year.  We did use everything pretty much the way it was laid out in the sample plans.  Sometimes I allotted extra days for chapter reviews or longer learning checks.  We didn't do all the labs the way they were laid out.  Instead we discussed them and why we needed to do certain things in a particular way.  I did still have him do the data analysis and answer the associated questions.  Retention has been excellent.  I know a lot of people just have the kids read the text and do the checks orally, but imo you are missing the best part of the program if you do this:  the mastery, the deep learning that comes from spaced review.
