Morning! It didn't quite get the jump on me today. I had the window open last night and was listening for it.

Today's goals:

House: chores, bedroom, bathroom cleaning, repot some succulents if I can find the pots, order my darned seeds!

School: usual

Cooking: grilling a pork loin this evening, steamed cauliflower, cranberry sauce, potato wedges, deviled eggs

Writing: morning pages, 4000 over WIP, one chapter revision, Beta reading, personal reading

Art: sketching, slap some paint on it! I might!

That's about it, but that sounds like plenty.

Evening!  Fairly successful day.

House: 2 rounds of cleaning.  Yay!  Didn't get to my "zone" or my paper-cleaning-out.

School: elder: science lab work (yay!), Latin class, math with me, literature.  Younger: geography, Lego-building-project, math with me, science reading, handwriting, literature, English.  So we did okay.

Fitness: boys fitness done; I got a run in.  Might try for some yoga/ballet stuff before bed, might collapse.

Dinner was Vietnamese takeout, our RPG night usual; and then we RPGd.  Yay!

Tomorrow:  Start with a round of fitness.  Do math with everybody; hit history reading for elder and English for him, too, including writing.  English, Latin, Greek, music and reading with younger -- as much of that as is reasonable.

Morning. Spent a nice Tuesday at the lake. Much needed and enjoyed.

Today's goals:

House: chores, kitchen sweeping and mopping.

Cooking: pizza night

School: usual

Writing: 3000 to 4000 words over WIP, finish a chapter revision, Beta reading, prep a few sub packages to send this weekend.

Art: sketching--possibly some painting, but it's very humid and the drying rate could be unpredictable. Still waiting on some art supplies to get here.

Extra: COVID jab for the boys this afternoon.

Okay & good evening!  Today went along, I'm beginning to figure out what I should be scheduling each day.

We hit: math for both boys; Latin for everybody too, and some English + reading all around.  Plus art for elder, piano for younger.  2 rounds house cleaning for me, light fitness for everybody, DH & I had "date night".

For tomorrow, I'd like to ...

  1. Kick us off with strength work for boys
  2. Do hands-on science with elder
  3. Math, Latin, English + reading all around.  Science reading for elder is esp. important.
  4. Plenty of piano practice for younger, plus online lesson in PM.
  5. Good, filling dinner early enough for younger to have a peaceful meal before lesson.
  6. Fitness for everybody.
  7. 2 rounds house cleaning.

Morning! So far I haven't heard complaints from my offspring, and the one is up cooking his breakfast. I was pretty sore and sickly for about 48 hours after mine. But sure beats the alternative!

Today's goals:

House: chores

School: usual (ready to bend that if needed)

Cooking: chicken and dumplings, rustic bread, broccoli

Writing: 4000 words over WIP, 1 chapter to revise, Beta reading, prepare sub packages today and tomorrow

Art: sketching and painting a character scene today

Extra: trying not to have much extra today!

Evening!  We hit much of the work I'd hoped to do from last night's brainstormed list.  Hurrah!

Tomorrow:

  1. AM yoga for me
  2. Migraine prevention protocol 😕
  3. Start with read-aloud Narnia for younger
  4. After that, hands-on science with elder
  5. Elder: art & Latin & math especially important; English -- esp. composition -- and reading up next.
  6. Younger: music, math, Latin & English esp important.   Huge extra credit for some art.   Maybe try a different tack?
  7. Fitness for me is critical
  8. Dinner: ????
  9. Fitness for boys: run + strength.
