Then, DD8 asked for another class, and I found another teacher to run a fun "games and poetry" Zoom class in January. Then, DD8 started a "secret club" that met after the math class. And then they picked another day for a meeting on the weekend... so now we have a nice, tight-knit little community composed of DD8's pre-pandemic friends that meets 3 times a week 😂. I need to start a real co-op after the pandemic, don't I? This has been fun and easy and much less annoying than dealing with people at our local homeschooling center.
