purpleowl
Does anyone know at what grade level the Iowa tests start requiring the students to read the questions on their own? I know in the youngest grade levels, the tester reads all the questions aloud. I just can't recall where it switches. I'm talking about Form E, paper-and-pencil tests, in case that matters. 🙂
kirstenhill
At least in the past, 2nd grade was the last year read aloud, and 3rd graders were expected to read it themselves. I know the Iowa tests have been updated (No longer called "ITBS" at it was before, not sure how much else has changed), and I'm not sure if that changed when students are required to read the tests. It's been maybe 6-7 years ago that we were last testing with the Iowa test. 1
purpleowl
Thanks @kirstenhill! I have skipped some levels in the past and just wasn't quite sure what I was signing up for when I ordered this time, lol. Have to figure out logistics with DH for getting the testing done. 73349
This page has links to sample schedules for administering to different grades. K-2 must require the proctor to read, as 3-8 can be done all in one big group.
