Karen A
This is probably behind a paywall, but the NY Times has a graph that shows with vaccination rollout, new infections will be very, very low by June/July, if I'm reading the chart right. (And I hope I am!!) https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2021/01/24/us/covid-vaccine-rollout.html?action=click&algo=bandit-all-surfaces-geo3-alpha-02&block=more_in_recirc&fellback=false&imp_id=87734457&impression_id=548fdb12-5f48-11eb-9b77-e7b6eb357ca6&index=3&pgtype=Article®ion=footer&req_id=499713371&surface=more-in-us-news&variant=4_bandit-all-surfaces-geo3-alpha-02

My point was that since we've been on lockdown to protect him, I haven't made decisions based on the risk to my kids. But if we're talking about the fall, that risk may be much less unless there's some variant that the vaccine doesn't protected against. Farrar had said that if we aren't doing activities now, we probably won't want to in the fall, but I didn't make the decision about this year based on the kids. And his appointment is cancelled. They had originally said that we could make an appointment anywhere in the state. Since there were no appointments in my county, I made one for him in the next county over. Today the announced that they're making a change, and that only people who live in that county can be vaccinated at that site. So, we're back to looking for a site.
school17777
The union for one the counties in a neighboring state to me is saying their members aren’t going back until 2023. Not sure if vaccinations will change that or not.

Everything could be really different then.
