siloam
I was wondering why it is rated PG? Heather
Wendi
My guess would be scenes of peril. There are a number of scenes where the girl, Penny, is in danger (sometimes it's "pretend" because it's a part of a TV show, but not always). So those scenes would possibly be rather intense for a little one who's sensitive. Here's a link to a review from Focus on the Family. Hope it helps. We really enjoyed the movie. We saw it in Disney Digital 3D, which was cool, too. Wendi
Karen in CO
It was better than we expected. PG... Maybe because there was some peril. My 4yo said she didn't like when Bolt was captured. There is one part where the girl and Bolt are both in serious danger from a fire. There was none of that adult humor disguised as childish humor. There was a bit of drool, but no potty jokes that I remember. It was a pretty good family movie with a sweet ending.
JudoMom
I don't know, but wanted to say that my parents took my 4 older boys a week ago and they all loved it. I should've made them take me and the 3 year old, too.
ABQmom
We saw Bolt and loved it. It's one of Disney's better movies in a long while. I agree with others as to why it's rated PG.
