Nicole M
My husband brought home the wrong pears for our traditional Thanksgiving pear kuchen. Are Asians an okay substitute? Or will we all be disappointed?
Nicole M
Shoot. Never mind. A little googling indicated that they will stay hard when baked. Back out there. If a store is open.
Doran
Sorry that happened, though by now it's an ancient memory, huh? I wouldn't have guessed the Asian pears would stay hard after baking, rather than they would get watery. Interesting. Hope your day was a special one. I've been missing you here. OnTheBrink
Whew! Sounds like an international incident has been avoided. (I wouldn't know an Asian pear from a European pear from an African pear from an Antarctic pear)
