JonDeSousa
I am planning on working through The Story of the World series with my daughters next year and concurrently plan to go through the History of the World series on my side. I was looking to order a World History Map that would show roughly concurrent events globally all in one place to reference. I found Adams Synchronological Chart or Map of History on Amazon and it looked perfect but I found that it starts from 4004BC (biblical beginnings of the world) not from prehistoric times. I'd be happy with a wall mount map or better yet a reference book that we can peruse if something like that exists. I appreciate all the recommendations!! EKS
In addition to the book recommended above (it looks great!), I'd recommend having a map on the wall next to where you "do" history. It really helps to have a map right there to refer to easily. We got ours from maps.com, and one thing I love about it is that it is laminated and has plastic rails, which has made it last for years. JonDeSousa
Thank you for all the initial recommendations. I am checking them all out now. Ultimately I'm looking for something like the chart below that shows major events, points in time, etc. that are concurrent across the world. I'm almost wondering if I should just put up a large paper and make one as I'm reading the books to create my own map.
wathe
Have the Schofield and Sims one shown above in laminated poster form. I picked it up on Amazon
