SKL Posted August 27, 2019 Share Posted August 27, 2019 I always bought my kids longer shorts, but this summer, my kids went around me and got an auntie to buy them a pile of shorts like your link. They are actually fine, so I have given up the longer inseam fuss. I think it is OK for them to wear in-fashion clothes as long as they look merely casual as opposed to ... alluring or whatever word fits. Their school does say it requires a 4" inseam for volleyball practice & game shorts, and their school gym uniform is nearly knee length, so I will enforce that for now (for fall sports/gym anyway). That said ... I am not sure we have any 4" inseam shorts that still fit, so I need to look into that .... Another thing - my kids' school cheer uniform is pretty short. The shorts definitely don't have a 4" inseam - more like 1.5 or 2". It seems fine when used for the appropriate purpose. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
