Tap Posted August 6, 2019 Share Posted August 6, 2019 (edited) Not a must, but my kids all started going about 3rd grade. They were campers and then became staff or counselors. There were a few years that ds was a camper or staff at 3 different camps. My son is now the director of the church kids camp and plans the jr high retreat. My older dd went to church camps through jr high, then went to cheer leading camp through high school. . I would never make my kids go, but I also think that it is a very valuable experience and to me is well worth the money. It was a highlight of each summer.
