5kidsforME
The machine ones. :001_huh: Is that what they are called? Anyway, does anyone have recommendations for a good breadmaker that is not too expensive? I ould like to start making bread with one but don't want to spend a lot of money. :bigear: TIA! Ria
Lots of people will rave about their Zo's, but we got one that was rated very highly by Consumer Reports. It's a Oster Expressbake. I'll link to it on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Oster-5838-ExpressBake-Breadmaker-White/dp/B00005OTXK/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=home-garden&qid=1227467314&sr=8-1 I'm very picky about my kitchen stuff, and when dh gave this to me I said I didn't want it...I wanted a Zo. He told me about how highly it rated, and I gave it a try. It's fantastic. I've been using mine 3-4 times per week for 3 years now, and it's still going strong. The ratings on Amazon are mixed. What do you think of the shape of the bread?
Ria
Mine look more like traditional loaves than the picture on Amazon. My Oster breadpan is 5 1/2" wide, 5" high, 7 1/4" long if that helps any. Ria

Sara R
Be sure to look at thrift stores and yard sales. They seem to pop up all the time there. I bought one at a yard sale for $2 this year.
