Teaching3bears
My son is currently watching The Great Courses: Algebra 2. I am not sure what grade level it covers. He is loving it and I think he will be finished soon. Is there some kind of online course that would follow? Here is what this course covers: 36 lectures | Average 31 minutes each 1 An Introduction to Algebra II 2 Solving Linear Equations 3 Solving Equations Involving Absolute Values 4 Linear Equations and Functions 5 Graphing Essentials 6 Functions—Introduction, Examples, Terminology 7 Systems of 2 Linear Equations, Part 1 8 Systems of 2 Linear Equations, Part 2 9 Systems of 3 Linear Equations 10 Solving Systems of Linear Inequalities 11 An Introduction to Quadratic Functions 12 Quadratic Equations—Factoring 13 Quadratic Equations—Square Roots 14 Completing the Square 15 Using the Quadratic Formula 16 Solving Quadratic Inequalities 17 Conic Sections—Parabolas and Hyperbolas 18 Conic Sections—Circles and Ellipses 19 An Introduction to Polynomials 20 Graphing Polynomial Functions 21 Combining Polynomials 22 Solving Special Polynomial Equations 23 Rational Roots of Polynomial Equations 24 The Fundamental Theorem of Algebra 25 Roots and Radical Expressions 26 Solving Equations Involving Radicals 27 Graphing Power, Radical, and Root Functions 28 An Introduction to Rational Functions Shift your focus to graphs of rational functions—functions that are the ratio of two polynomials. These graphs are more complicated than those from the previous lesson, but their general characteristics can be quickly determined by calculating the domain, the x- and y-intercepts, and the vertical and horizontal asymptotes. 29 The Algebra of Rational Functions 30 Partial Fractions 31 An Introduction to Exponential Functions 32 An Introduction to Logarithmic Functions 33 Uses of Exponential and Logarithmic Functions 34 The Binomial Theorem 35 Permutations and Combinations 36 Elementary Probability
klmama
Algebra 2 is a high school course and is usually followed by precalculus, which is a combo of college algebra and trigonometry. Is your ds watching just for fun or is he doing the related work?
