Kumon workbooks

Anyone use the kumon thinking skills workbooks? I saw they have some that are k+. Looking for something quick and easy for 1st this next year. Anyone use them? What do you think of them?

If so I used these with my Pre-K’er and wouldn’t recommend them as challenging for a 1st grader. With my oldest I think the only one I used in 1st was telling time. We used them when they were young and starting to write and working on letters and numbers. The Thinking Skills series has been a let down and really just busy work. You might want to consider Critical Thinking Company if you want workbooks that have more content.

Totally agree on switching to Critical Thinking Skills after preschool.  Building Thinking Skills.

The physical book works great.   But, for CTC stuff I've preferred the software.   It is the exact same thing, but being software "No, that is wrong" is communicated immediately and more softly.   Both of which I really appreciate.  We always try to have software to use while I comb her hair.   Originally it was starfall/abcMouse, then ReadingEggs/Math Seeds, now it is CTC stuff.
