If you would like to share your small accomplishments on instagram, please do so at #wtmflylady Advanced Flylady: This week the Flylady is focused on Zone 1 - The Kitchen (March 4 - 10). Monday - Weekly home blessing - Our mission today is to wipe down cabinets! Weekly home blessing is spending 10 minutes doing each of these: Vacuuming Dusting quick mop polish mirrors and door handles purge magazines and catalogs change all sheets empty trash. Flylady Mission: Let's take a close look at the gadgets and small appliances. When was the last time you cleaned out your toaster; opened up the bottom and dumped the crumbs? How dingy or dusty is your coffee maker? Do we even want to talk about the blades on the electric can openers? How about the outside of the microwave? Wipe them down and make them shine. I am not telling you to drag out every small kitchen appliance you own and to scrub them. Just wipe down the fingerprints, dust, drips, dried food particles on the most used items. Make sure you unplug these items before you clean them!Don't obsess, set your timer for 15 minutes and have fun! Fly Kids Mission: We are going to do what is called a Hot Spot Fire Drill! This is when we look around our rooms at the flat surfaces of our furniture. The desk, the dresser and the nightstands. These are the places that we will just pile things on instead of throwing them away or putting them away. These are the Hot Spots.To help us clean these places up we are going to do a Fire Drill. We are going to set a timer for 5 minutes and see how much and can throw away and put away off of those Hot Spots.Ready.. set.... GO!Your rooms will look and feel less messy when those flat surfaces are neat. Remember: Less stuff to clean and put away, means more time to play! If you are new to Flylady, please join at any time.
